Canada Day events and road closure listings

HAPPY CANADA DAY!!!!

The big festivities all kick off tomorrow at noon with a 21-gun salute.

Make sure you stick around for the entertainment, that’s happening on the south shore of Wascana Lake, the activities and entertainment will move into high gear at 1 p.m. And don’t forget to cheer on team Z99 during the plywood cup, our very own Jay Stone, Stephen, Morgan and Summer Sarah will all be down there.

Here’s some closures that you may need to know, during the celebration, Legislative Drive in front of the Legislative Building will be closed, as will Lakeshore Drive, the road closest to the lake on the south shore. During the fireworks, Wascana Drive on the north shore will be closed off as part of the fireworks safety zone. Also, no watercrafts will be permitted on the lake during the fireworks, as it is also considered part of the safety zone.
