It's been awhile since we busted out some viewer mail so I thought we should do this one today.

Hey Crash & Mars I listen all the time and need some help with my ex. You may think this is a silly question, but the other day my ex husband purchased fireworks for my 8 year-old. I am totally against this. Why should any 8 year-old be allowed to light dangerous fireworks. My ex tells me I need to relax because I am too uptight and overprotective. Can any parent be too overprotective when it comes to their child’s well being? Maybe if my ex hears you talking about this he might change his stupid mind!

Marla, maybe just remind your husband that each year, NINE THOUSAND people go to the hospital with fireworks injuries. If that doesn't get him on your side pretty quick, he probably shouldn't be raising a child.
